utilizing the Stern name as to see how powerful the Stern BRAND really is. I wonder if Tim is going
these are the greatest hands on earth
When your "host" makes about oh, maybe $700,000 per show, renting out a 1800 seat venue for less than 10% of that and bringing in a few unpaid b-d list guests who were already in town anyway for other promotional appearances to "celebrate" via 5 minute interviews is hardly a big deal. I doubt Sirius cares much about this and is probably just burning up some promised promotional budget.
True. But I don't see a middle-ground on this.
Trying to mount an event of this size during SuperBowl weekend is bad enough.
But to try to do it in three month is insane. Not unless you are prepared to throw LOTS of money at it.
An event this size is usually started a year out.
Sirius doesn't advertise that Howard has a channel anymore. No sense promoting someone who is hardly on the air.
Lets be honest not lest I don't even think lest is a Word.
Just like all of these Sirius events that are supposedly "for the subscribers", most of the tickets will go to Sirius employees and their business associates. The Metalica concert was billed almost identically to the Birthday Bash as being "for the subscribers", but from the discussions on the Stern Show we know that pretty much everyone associated with the show was there and most brought a date, including the people from HowardTV, H100 News. and the Tapes Team. If that many people from just the Stern Show were able to get tickets, imagine how many other Sirius employees were there and how few subscribers actually got in.
