    Sure, blame the little guy. Maybe nobody eats hostess cakes any more because they suck.

    Sure. I bet people would have ate more of them if they didn't cost twice as much as their counterparts. :grad:

    How could they have brought the cost down though?? :bigthink

    Unions are the little guy ?? :facepalm:

    [h=1]Political Spending by Unions[/h]

    The amount spent by organized labor on politics is as much as four times the amount generally thought, according to a Wall Street Journal analysis, a finding that shines a light on unions' sizable yet partly hidden political clout. See more information on the 200 unions that spent the most on politics and lobbying from 2005 to 2011.

    Interesting, I didnt know about this until today. I was shopping earlier and the market had a sign saying labor disputes were causing shortages of Hostess, Drakes, and other snack makers.

    irrelevant what one person makes, when thousands of unskilled workers are making $20-$30 an hour (plus benefits) to perform a task that a trained Donkey could do

    Hostess is seeing a decline in revenue, plus there was admitted mismanagement of funds. Hostess asked the workers union to scale back on costs ( hours/wages I assume ). The teamsters came in to picket and negotiate, and it worked. They found an agreement. However a smaller union group also involved did not agree.

    So by not agreeing to concessions for the employees who might have lost their jobs, the smaller union group did a bang up job of getting them laid off.
