Chili - with or without beans?
How much heat?
Why is @Rahm2015 trying to wrestle me?
I make it with beans.
I like it either way though.
With beans but I crush them first. Medium heat..
I made a LOVELY pot of turkey chili this evening. So lovely that I bet I could get an insecure billionaire to marry me by simply offering it to him.
I go beans in mine. But like ALL chilis! As for heat, I don't need to be hurtin, but I like heat. But flavor is key.
I like turkey chili better than red meat chili...
Without is what mongrols eat
Without beans, very hot but not inedible... most importantly, finely diced beef not ground.
I know it's not right, but I gotta have the beans. Dark red kidney and black. Medium heat.
With beans and light to medium heat.
Hate any and all beans.
BTW, this is your controversial thread which will create alerts, blocks and fights?
I don't eat chili
Hi there, baby. When Rahm is done with you, I want a shot. Anyway, go buy a large bottle of vinegar. Pour 1/4 out. Cut the top end of some jalapenos and toss them in. Toss in a bunch of raw garlic bulbs in there. Maybe some shallots. Let sit for a few days. Works great as an add-in to chilli, BBQ sauce, ham and beans, etc. Depending on how much you put in dictates the heat. It's pretty mild, though, unless you go cray cray with the hot peppers and the amount that you pour in.
There is no bad chili. Except that one time it had botulism on Quincy and killed some sports fans.
Suppoze-ably, it's wit OUT beans...but I personally prefer With. Moderately hot. Corn bread. Sour cream (which, in this day and age, I would happily sub out Greek nonfat plain yogurt)...and cold mass-produced beer or, in sober scenarios, coca cola.
Oh, and enough tortillas or chips to make High Pitch Erik blush.
Tonight's repast chez Shoe...chicken cutlets in dried herbs and olive oil...Texmati rice...diced steamed carrots...Garnet Chardonnay...Dave Brubeck's "Indian Summer" cd...assorted salt water taffy leftover from the recent Cape May journey...an extra glass of Campanian red for that extra sumpin.
Hope youse all are well-quaffed and queefed.
