nothing better than being a kid in He-Man pajamas eating Fruity Pebbles while watching cartoons
On with the show, this is it
no, let's not
I searched WorldStarHipHop for a video, but there was none. Is this thread a mistake ? Maybe forgot the video link ?
Go outside it's a beautiful day out!
But maaaaah, I wanna watch Duck Tales!
Thundarr the Barbarian never just sliced some fool open with his sun sword. Ever notice? Pussification of cartoons started around then.
I liked scooby doo
kids these days don't get Saturday morning cartoons; they get japanese infomercials
They have a million fucking channels of kiddie programming now so there is no reason to dedicate a block of hours on a weekend just for kids.I am glad to have had the fortune to have grown up when you looked forward to a morning full of cartoons on a Saturday.
no shit, man; i used to do all my bullshit saturday morning chores way early, just to watch the Roadrunner and Tweetie Bird shows
Ninja Turtles was bad ass. I even watched Where's Waldo
earliest one i can remember is Gigantor
"ready to fight for right, against all!"
My favorites were Jabber Jaw, Johnny Quest, and Space Ghost. The best jap shows were Johnny Sokko and his Flying Robot, Space Giants, and Ultraman. Speed Racer and Spider-Man were the absolute best but they were not Saturday morning shows.
Hmmmm, my earliest Sadiddy Moanin' memories were Scooby Doo, Bugs Bunny Road Runner Show, Stop That Pigeon (?), and wacky racers, followed by various sundry Sid And Marty Kroft shows....Then American Bandstand, Soul Train, and if you were lucky, Evel Knieval jumping something on Wide World Of Sports....
Sunday mornings SUCKED because it was Jot, Davey And Goliath, and Kukla, Fran, and Ollie
Never did the Saturday morning cartoon thing. My mother always dragged us out of the house first thing in the morning. Rain or shine. Then when I hit 8, she'd throw me out of the house first thing in the morning. Rain or shine.
I did sneak in the weekday afternoon ones while doing homework.
Looney Tunes were great. now its considered too violent
omg Speed Racer
that car is STILL badass
i would get up at the crack of dawn, literally, during the week and watch the lord's prayer with a sunrise backdrop, then watch Felix the Cat, Speed Racer, then Batman (not the cartoon) every morning for a while there. Saturday cartoons though were the best. Scooby Doo and Looney tunes were the highlights.
My oldest brother still curses me to this day for making him endure Speed Racer...
i remember all the shitty cartoons would start coming on at 1100 or 1130. then it was time to go out and play
