I saw some of this (watching it all now). The more I hear Jerry, the more I relate minus the millions and he becomes a cool guy. No bullshit like Howchie. He either likes you or he doesn't. No phoniness and to the point.
"I pretty much engage with funny people or weird people, or you know kind of off people. Anybody who's a little normal, even just like, let's say a normal actor or actress, I'm lost."
Compare this to Howchie and Beth.
David and Jerry mention Howchie..how he's oblivious and the irony he was in a muscle car. (5:30)
An hour and 5 minutes and I still don't know how big his cock is!?!?!?! What kind of shitty interview is this?
Eddie "Clark Gable" Murphy tells more jokes in an interview than Jerry Seinfeld.
When did the House That Larry David Built become the ambassador of comedic philosophy? Does he tell a fucking joke ever? And I'm not comparing him to Stern, my friggin' mom is wittier than that guy, but Seinfeld is the definition of smarmy and humorless.
Society accepts this dude as God based on one project that he wasn't even the head writer or primary inspiration for. Oh, yea, we all watched for Jer's mutton & salad fag hijinks, Art Vandelay was filler.
No ridiculous hairpiece either.
I disagree my fine sir... Saw him in January -first time ever and he was quite entertaining. He is what he is-not a pretentious fuck like Howard!
I got into the sitcom late. Comedian, the documentary, and shows like Comedians Getting Coffee..gained my respect.
This is the correct answer
Larry David was the reason for that show ... period.
Man, people really hate successful people. I am pretty sure Larry David would disagree with that statement. He has worked with Seinfeld a long time, and from what I can tell both are ecstatic with the relationship and what they contribute. Seinfeld is extremely sharp... I used to love how he would handle Stuttering John. He wouldn't get confused. He would simply line him up and expedite. It is like when he had Howard on, he basically drove a beautiful subtle assault.
Should Jerry be "always on"? I don't think so. He put in his years on the road, had massive success, and appears to enjoy it.
I think he deserves all the success, and seemed to share the rewards very well (unlike Howard, of course).
Thanks for posting this
