Shocking how many people still drink and drive.
When I was growing up it was like a fucking sport, drinking and driving.
Same for me. I could drink at 18 and didn't have a care in the world. Go to nickel beer night for hours and get in the car and drive home.
In college in Tuscaloosa there was a grayhound racing track that had 12 oz, 25 cent beers......all you could drink and you didn't have to bet. Hundreds of students would go there and we'd all come back in a motorcade of about 30 or 40 cars driving back to campus totally fucking hammered. And if we would get pulled over the cops at that time would make the drunk driver get out of the driver's seat and get someone else in the car to drive.
Same here is FL.
To be fair, those fucking lights are blinding. How do they expect drunks to drive safely when they're being blinded by flashing lights?
Is that a small alien sunning across the road? Not a Mexican kind, a ufo kind
Different times, for sure.
You think it's tough driving, imagine negotiating a flight of stairs!
This one was caught by a news hound on HiDef.
A drunk driver managed to help catch another drunk driver tonight. It all started with El Cajon PD in pursuit of a vehicle where they suspected the driver to be driving under the influence. The driver failed to yield and took off on to southbound 125. The driver eventually pulled over just north of the Spring St exit. The driver was determined to be DUI and was being escorted to an awaiting El Cajon PD patrol car. As soon as officers approached the patrol car, a white Nissian Sentra slammed in to the rear of it at an estimated 60 MPH, missing the officers AND original drunk driver by mere inches (pause the video). Airbags were deployed and two women could be seen launching forward due to the impact of the collision. Officers immediately checked on the occupants, whom exited the vehicle in utter shock. Suprisingly no one was injured! CHP gave the driver (brunette) a field sobriety test and she failed it, prompting her arrest on suspicion of DUI. She was taken to Los Colinas. So TWO drunk drivers were taken off the streets tonight, one involving a pursuit, the other involving a terrifying crash, and no injuries! Also note that the pursuit drunk driver had a Modelo Especial beer in the vehicle with him. This all happened at or just after 2 AM.
I don't drink and i'm scared being out there late at night or early morning because of these fuckers...You really have to be on guard
I used to drink and drive all the time. I remember my lawyer said something like, "Dude, if you had taken a cab that night, this could have been avoided." The problem is I was doing it everyday, so I would have had to have cab drive me everywhere.
I remember an old episode of "Taxicab Confessions" where the driver picked up an EMT. The EMT said that he was so sick of arriving at the scene of an accident and seeing the drunk guy walk away without a scratch, while the other car would always have fatalities. IIRC the EMT made the point that he longer believed in God due to seeing that shit all the time.
