Anybody catch, "Listen to Me Marlon" on Showtime? It's a documentary about Marlon Brando's life told primarily by himself, through many, many hours of self-recorded audio tape. This was really a fascinating story about Brandow's life, acting method, movie history, tragedies and social commitment.

You can't really judge Brando in terms of western culture and psychological theories - due to his early life abuse, combined with Stella Adler's "Method" method, he took acting to a different place few have ever gone.

Even if you only wondered why he sent that Indian chick up to collect his oscar in 1973 - this is well worth watching. One of the best documentaries I've ever seen.

Howard related because someone will take all his tapes and edit them together to show what an asshole he was.

This was "interesting", in the best sense of the word. Probably not for everyone. Unique is another term I would use. The ending is especially poignant, at least to me. If you are into movies or entertainment than watch this. Recommended for sure.

I just re-watched "On The Waterfront" for the tenth time last week, and by God, that's a seamlessly perfect movie. The script, the casting, the acting, the filming, everything about it is great.

Actually Sacheen Littlefeather was Apache, Yacqui & Pueblo on her father's side. Her mother was white European.

Does it get into his unprofessionalism, lack of personal ethics, or bad parenting?

He really was a massive douche bag.......incredibly talented......but a massive douche bag. That and the fact that he was a dick to Burt Reynolds for seemingly no reason. I believe that he was jealous of Burt.

Burt was no less a douchebag to just about everybody he worked for or was married to. Great interview with Piers Morgan, however. The double episodes of Dinner For Five with him at the table are time capsule good.

He had his moments.....the difference is that he has grown and fully admits all of his faults. Brando could never be bothered to apologize for being a colossal prick. That's the only Piers Morgan interview I can stand....besides Robert Blake....that episode is crazy.

He was an asshole just for the sake of being an asshole.

It was Marlon Brando's idea for Doctor Moreau to wear an ice-bucket on his head in one scene. He came up with the idea out of boredom.

Marlon Brando wore a small radio receiver to aid him remembering his lines. Co-starDavid Thewlis claimed "He'd be in the middle of a scene and suddenly he'd be picking up police messages and Marlon would repeat, 'There's a robbery at Woolworths'.":D

He would not learn the script and wore an earpiece for Superman and his lines were fed thru it.
