Et tu, Senator Rick? Et tu???
SR, what made you be thinking about anal fissures?
I'd rather listen to Anal Cunt....
rhymes with "Amy Fischer"
Never apologize for being silly! You are the best.
I'll take your apologies in the form of 78's.
you seriously do not want our rejects
I want the good stuff.
You'd better not send me a bunch red label Columbia Cracka rejects.
we tend to keep Blues, Black & Hillbilly Gospel, Jazz, Western Swing, Hillbilly, Country, R&B, Rockabilly, Exotica and most Big Band except those with silly ass male or female chorale groups.
We also reject Doris Day, Guy Lombardo, most Bing Crosby and Arthur Godfrey ...except for "Slap Her Down Again, Pa".
Same here. Did you see my 78's picture thread where I bought a "lot" for $10?
It was a few months back.
I've got one of those....jealous?
Got a link?
Before moving we were driving from Memphis to Champaign, Illinois to buy hundreds of 78's (enough to fill the bed of my pick-up) at a quarter a piece from a record collector selling off his duplications 3-4 times a year (weather permitting).
On one of those trips, we stopped in an "antique mall" in Ohio and my wife found and purchased a Blind Willie Johnson 78 for 50 cents.
By the way -we play our 78s on a special turntable (Stanton ST-150) that has 2 exchangeable cartridges with needle/s.
One cartridge is for 45's and 33 1/3's and the other is for 78's only.
We know folks who own original Victrola's and they're beautiful objects but we've read that they can damage any 78's made after the 20's or so.
What do you use to play your 78's on & how does that work out for you?
Everyone's got an anus.
Here's the link...I post pictures throughout the thread. I'm going to bed now, but let me know what you think....
It really depends on what room we are in as to what we play them on. I just moved so everything is still in a slight disarray. We have three Victrolas(one for Edison cylinders) and two Numark PT01s, though were hoping to upgrade from those in the near future. I want something a little more impressive to play all my records on. The Numarks just aren't cutting it.
It looks painful but not as painful as Amy Fisher.
