HELP! I need something to keep me entertained at work. Listened to Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas about 20 times and it's getting old. Want to check out Hell's Angels by Hunter, but not sure it's the casual read that Fear and Loathing was. I have to think at work, so completely focusing on the book 100% isn't an option.

If you can find "Kingdom of Fear" by HST, I'd go w/ that. Great read. Has to be a decent listen.

Much appreciated. Better than Hell's Angels?

I can't imagine that an audiobook would be any good if you can't concentrate on it. Don't you miss some plot lines? That wouldn't work at all for me and I read crappy mysteries and such.

I'd say yes. But I'm biased, as it's my favorite of his works.

They're different. Hell's Angels isn't very gonzo, if that makes sense. Great read still.

I like his crazed drug stories, so I probably prefer the gonzo. Most used word in Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas: ETHER.

Definitely go w/ kingdom of fear, in that case. There's a great story about him doing blow w/ Clarence Thomas and some hookers. There were dead sheep everywhere. :thumbup2:

I've gone through lots of podcasts. Most are boring. I'm not easily entertained, not saying you are. Same trouble with TV lately, it's boring as fuck.

They've been picked up for a movie deal. I thought they looked totally cheesy and had very low expectations. I was completely blown away by how funny and truly entertaining they are.
