You gotta admit that
"I love Alison. She stuck with me through the whole thing, you know? You gotta respect that. I think you have to respect that. You have to respect that."
Yup - i agree that's HILARIOUS now.
Not really, i'd rather watch Home Alone 2 tbh
You think that was good? Just wait until the Porky's remake comes out.
If you think THAT is good, just wait for Howard Stern, the high school years!
I watched it again for the first time since it was a new release in Blockbuster....I gotta admit it was kinda, eh. I was thinking it was alot better back in the day, maybe I was just caught up in the E channel days.
Even when I loved him, and after watching it in the theatre packed with 4 people , I thought "That's what all the hype was about?"
I thought it was an OK movie. Didn't think it was that funny. When Howard trays to be funny, he's not. He helps get funny out of others
Remember when that guy called in and said he was laughing so hard he shit his pants. And that he didn't get up to change cuz the movie was so funny?
agree I have always enjoyed it even though I dont know who that person is anymore
It also made Fred look way cooler than he really is....
don't tell me what to do
It would not hold up today - especially now knowing that he was probably cheating on Alison at the time. Such a hypocrite.
It's on Netflix now if anyone wants to check it out/view it again.
I watched recently and was kind of bored by it. Kind of fascinating to view the dialogue with 2014 knowledge of how it all ends up.
i did enjoy the scenes with Paul Giamatti - he's pretty funny. Thought this was an interesting tidbit from IMDB:
"Philip Seymour Hoffman was considered for the role of Kenny 'Pig Vomit' Rushton."
That and most people know the life story is a work of fiction.
The director was trying to make it woody allenish by cutting back and forth to his parents for comments. I watched it
about a year ago and found it so so at best. Fred with that stupid hat not saying a word the whole time.
Hindsight is 20/20 but given what we now know about Howard, the movie is a pack of lies.
The worst part is how bad the entire cast was at acting as themselves.
The big hype machine could not turn this into a money maker. They spent shitloads promoting this turd, and it topped out at $41,000,000 Middle America and the rest of the planet would not give two shits and a fuck for Wiggy then or now.
