"Madden NFL 15's simulation of Super Bowl XLIX proved to be strikingly accurate.

In the Madden simulation, the Seahawks led 24-14 in the third quarter following a Marshawn Lynch touchdown run, but the Patriots dug deep and came storming back to win 28-24.

    Sound familiar?

In the real Super Bowl, the Seahawks also led 24-14 in the third quarter, albeit after a Doug Baldwin touchdown catch. But the Patriots still came back to win 28-24 after a Julian Edelman touchdown catch.

Computer Tom Brady threw for all four of the Patriots touchdowns in the simulation and was awarded his third Super Bowl MVP award. In the real game, Brady also threw four touchdowns and was named MVP."

So you're saying EA Sports paid off Pete Carroll?

I read about the simulation game last week. Sometimes those Madden predictions have been surprisingly close, but this one is eerie.

Tell me the simulation had Russell Wilson throwing an interception to Butler at the 1 yard line

Now if they can only improve franchise mode, commentary, and actual gameplay maybe they'll have a decent game on their hands.

Great games and graphics, but I've given up on these games. Too many damn buttons to press today to play. Way too many moves and combo's. :snicker:

Actually a more accurate depiction would be that the Seahawks came storming back to lose it on a WTF offensive playcall.

I've had every Madden since 1995 and its incredible how far the graphics have come in that time period. They [EA Sports] often take several steps backward on core elements of the game (customization, gameplay, etc) in order to take steps forward graphically, but most of the gaming community shits on Madden on a yearly basis. This is mostly because Madden is so far behind the 2K series NBA and MLB The League in almost every aspect of the game. NFL2K5 is also considered among the best football games ever made and a lot of gamers simply can't let go the fact that EA owns the rights to the NFL, therefore eliminating all competition. Without question, console gaming these days is far too time consuming to become an expert at, as opposed to the past when my computer illiterate father could play Super Mario and Madden 95 with me.

Maybe one day if I land a job in game development, I can devote paid time to reconnecting with my childhood gaming roots. Otherwise, I am far too busy to put the hours in to seriously enjoy a game to its full capability (as are most people with a job or career path).

Question: Can you play Madden Football and just call plays? Or do you have to do the fast-twitch muscle thing on every play?
