    The Stern Effect strikes again.

    :owned:

edit: and since you're too lazy to post...

Here's some bad news for Madonna fans: Her (unlucky?) 13th studio album, Rebel Heart, plunges from No. 2 to No. 21 in its second week on The Billboard 200. It's the first studio album of her long career to log just a single week in the top 10.

    Rebel Heart
Madonna's 13th studio album spent just one week in the top 10. It debuted and peaked at No. 2, behind the soundtrack to TV's hottest show, 'Empire.' It was Madonna's first studio album to fall short of the top spot since 'Ray of Light.' Even worse, no songs from the album have cracked the Hot 100, even though Madonna introduced the lead single, "Living for Love," on the Grammys.

Madonna writes horrible songs,. She's greedy because she could have the best songwriters write her hits, but she wants the publishing money. Anyway I heard she gets cowriting credit on any song that is brought to her. She hasn't had a good song since Ray of LIght. That MDNA cheerleading single with a singer and a rapper was a corny piece of shit.

I remember when Chinese Democracy was released in 2008. It debuted at number three with a very respectable 300,000+ copies sold (and it was only available at Best Buy).

The following week, it dropped to number 18, and ended up selling about 650,000 copies in the US overall. The first week must have been when the curious fans of the original band went out and bought it, like me

I bought it for $1 at Best Buy a few months later just because I'm a completist. I don't think I've ever sat through the entire thing.

It's not really bad at all, but the problem I have with it is that the band is NOT Guns N' Roses

And certainly not worth a 15 year wait.

Here's an interesting story that appeared yesterday.

    http://consequenceofsound.net/2015/03/you-can-blame-michael-jackson-for-guns-n-roses-breakup/

Rock ‘n’ roll feuds are as old as rock ‘n’ roll itself, but few rifts have been as deep as the one that split up the key members of Guns N’ Roses. Slash quit the band due to personal tensions with frontman Axl Rose in 1996, but a new interview with the group’s former manager suggests that the divide between the two musicians began much earlier — and can be attributed in part to Michael Jackson.

Speaking to Rolling Stone Brazil, GNR’s ex-manager Doug Goldstein said that Rose was deeply offended when Slash played a tribute concert with Michael Jackson. “I told him not to do it because Axl was molested by his father when he was two and he believed the charges against Michael Jackson,” said Goldstein. “So I asked Slash, ‘How much are you receiving?’ … and he said, ‘I’ll just receive a big screen television.’ When Axl found out Slash was going to play with Michael Jackson and that the payment was a big screen TV, he was devastated. He thought Slash would support him and be against all abuse. From Axl’s point of view, that was the only problem. He could ignore the drugs and the alcohol, but never the child abuse.”

According to Goldstein, Slash has never apologized to Rose for performing with Michael Jackson in the wake of his abuse allegations, but that would be the best place to start if the band were ever to get back together — something the manager remains hopeful about. “I really believe that for how much I love the band, I’d be the manager to reunite them,” he said. “I don’t think anyone else could do it.”

I think it is pretty self explanatory when it debuted at #2 on a soft week and then falls out of the top 20 in the second week and that is the only Madonna album out of 13 that only spent one week in the top 10. Where is the positive news?

The Van Halen live album hitting stores next week is going to flop too. Whey they didn't do a new studio album is something I don't understand. Even if they pulled out a bunch of demos like they did for 'A Different Kind Of Truth', it would be a hell of a lot more interesting than a live record with a weak sounding David Lee Roth.

Have you heard recent Van Halen. David Lee Roth's voice is shot and he is going through the motions.
