(CNN) -- Remee Lee was elated when she became pregnant,

but those feelings quickly turned into a nightmare that won't let go of her.

Her boyfriend wasn't happy about the pregnancy, but it was Lee's dream to have a child. Until her boyfriend, John Andrew Welden, took that dream away.

This week, Welden, 28, pleaded guilty to killing their unborn baby. How? He tricked Lee into taking an abortion pill, causing her to miscarry.

"Every day is a nightmare for me ever since this began," Lee told Chris Cuomo on CNN's 'New Day' Tuesday.

"Even hearing the guilty (plea) yesterday, it's hard to believe it, it's hard to read it and know that this actually happened to me."

Welden was indicted under the rarely used federal Unborn Victims of Violence Act, a murder charge that carries a life sentence.

Lee, 26, was in the Florida courtroom Monday, dabbing away tears as her former boyfriend accepted a plea deal that could send him to prison for at least 13 years.

And if she aborted the baby without his permission, no one would bat an eye.

That's the great paradox isn't it. Fucking ponderous.

The argument being, "It's HER body".

Yes, but he isn't being convicted of harming "her body". He is being convicted of harming the baby. "Unborn Victims of Violence Act"

It's something that needs to be reckoned within the law.

If a woman has a right to choose, even if the man who impregnated her objects, why then is the man, who does not want to have a baby, forced to pay child-support?

I get the whole thing where it's a woman's body. If she doesn't want the kid, fine.

But what if the man doesn't want the kid? What if he doesn't want anything to do with the woman for 18 years?

Are we really comfortable with the notion of saddling a man with an 18 year responsibility and an 18 year relationship with a woman he may not want a thing to do with? That seems like a heavy burden for a piece of ass.

And they say prostitution isn't legal in most jurisdictions of the US.

The current policy of forcing a man to pay for children he does not want led to this man tricking his gf into taking the abortion pill.

I totally dig the whole "my body, my choice" thing. I say have at it, ladies.

And by that SAME logic I believe in "my wallet, my choice."

I don't. What if the man wants the baby and the woman doesn't? Should she be allowed to abort?

I completely respect your stance on abortion. You are pro-life and, man, it's a toughie for me. I believe in the science of conception and the science is clear: Life begins at conception.

If we found the very most basic form of life, less than an amoeba, on Mars, the science journos would be screaming, "LIFE FOUND ON MARS!!!!!"

So, I totally get your perspective. And mean no offense with the callous thing I'm about to say: Practically speaking, abortion must remain legal in the US. It must remain legal because of an assortment of reasons. You've probably heard all the arguments, so I won't go TLDR on you.

This is why Howard wears a condom. You cannot trust anyone. Especially if their clock is running out.

So, according to this law, how far along must the pregnancy be for the mass of cells to be considered "human"?

Hah, well for one I'd LOVE to see women who are pregnant and engaging in poor behavior charged under the statute and then, when incarcerated and having given birth, sterilized.

And there's the problem: Sterilization of certain populations conjures up memories of eugenics, a wrongly discredited science. Why was it discredited? Hitler.

Hitler fucked a WHOLE boatload of shit up. Without Hitler, we would not have Israel. Without Hitler, we would not have had an enormously expensive Cold War. Without Hitler, we would have never seen the dropping of atomic bombs or even, perhaps, such early development of nukes.

And without Hitler we would not have this politically correct notion that everyone has a right to procreate.

    Oh.

Well fuck me. There I go making an ass of myself by assuming. Sorry 'bout that.

What then was your point because I'm obviously too brain-dead to get it.
