I know some here have declared victory over Ebola in the US, but we may have another doctor who was recently working in West Africa now displaying symptoms - this time in NYC.

He supposedly put himself on "self-quarantine", although this description would be at odds with reports that had him placed at a bowling alley on Wednesday.

There's no information available yet regarding who else may have shared his ebowling ball.

Bellevue Hospital staff is seen demonstrating protective clothing it planned to wear if were treating an Ebola patient — and on Thursday, a man who just returned from Guinea was rushed there with symptoms of the deadly virus.

...some nurse came home to seattle after working with ebola in africa and the news said she has herself in isolation. pisses me off she should isolate herself off the coast on a boat but everybody wants 15 minutes of fame whether its exposing yourself to a disease for which we dont have an antidote or the brave selfless hero who tried to help. im mediabola sick of all of them.

Aw Geez.......see now that it's in MY backyard I'm none too happy...

A doctor who recently returned from West Africa, where he was on an Ebola assignment for Doctors Without Borders, is being tested for Ebola at Bellevue Hospital Center after reporting a fever and gastrointestinal symptoms, officials said.

Craig Spencer, who law enforcement sources say flew into John F. Kennedy International Airport from Guinea Oct. 17, began to feel ill Thursday and called 911. He was transported from a building on 147th Street between Broadway and Amsterdam Avenue to Bellevue, sources said.

No mention of extra protection during transportation to hospital.

One of my good friends is a nurse at Bellevue...she thinks the whole ebola thing is overblown and trendy and will be over in a few months.

I love her, but I was like, wtf???
