New GM there, he's bringing in his own crew.

As long as Howard Lincoln continues to be Chairman and CEO, the Mariners will be amateur hour.

Haven't seen anything involving Griffey, I did read that Edgar Martinez is staying as hitting coach and pretty much everyone else is out the door.

He's busy napping in the clubhouse while the rest of the team plays its game.

Ken Griffey Jr., while probably the most amazing player in MLB after Barry Bonds in the 90s, was a lazy prick and didn't work very hard in the off season to stay in shape. I gather he'd probably have the same work ethic as a manager and would get fired after one year.

Jr. is too busy with his new hobby to be interested in the Mariners job anyway.

Hard to believe Griff has a kid playing football at the U of Arizona.

Seems just like yesterday i was ripping thru foil packs of Upper Deck looking for Ken's rookie card.

Why couldn't Oklahoma City had stolen the goddamn Mariners from here?

That team is such a fucking embarassment. Half their promotions and shtick is "Celebrating the '95 Season". The Braves won the goddamn series that year, and they don't even talk about anywhere near as much as the M's do. Disgrace.

I was surprised he got the gig in the first place. Seemed pretty incompetent when he was the Tigers hitting coach.
