This dude made Tom Kotter sound like Chris Rock. Fuckin hack.
How was it?
I didn't listen.
But it's sort of like Carson Daly saying he should've had Ryan Seacrest's career. I think he did actually say something hinting at that.
Jon Stewart is a unique motherfucker. That's where he is.
Maron is depressing to look at.
He sucks, but I never found Jon Stewart as funny as other people. I watch his show every night, and I think he's a good guy. However, I think you could have give a lot of comedians the job of making fun of the government, and they could do just as well. A lot of Stewart's mannerisms are played out to me, however he is still 100x better as an entertainer/person than the old pelican.
He's very lucky to have his career.
This hack can't hold Jon's jock.
Fuck, this guy's voice is fuckin annoying.
Maron is a mystery to me. His podcast is supposedly huge, but he's annoying and unfunny and he sucks as a host/interviewer. Everybody I know feels the same, yet his podcast numbers are up there with Carolla and Rogan. I really don't get it.
Agree. He gets some great podcast guests, and I've tried to listen. But the guy is terrible to listen to.
I think he was on the failed Air America Radio network. Why is he still around?
He has a big-time podcast, which has made him relevant, which has resulted in him doing a Curb Your Enthusiasm ripoff.
Maybe he gets the numbers from the same place Howard gets his twitter followers?
Seriously though, I listened to about 2 minutes of that interview and bailed. I couldn't take the hackiness and that nails on chalkboard voice.
Oh, man. Your avatar is creeping me the fuck out.
Never heard of him.
I don't know about that -- Stewart is perfect for the job. He's an intelligent dude, highly informed (whether or agree with him or not, he holds his own in any debate with a guest), and is quick on his feet with the off-the-cuff jokes. I hated TDS with Kilborn, but I don't miss an episode with Stewart.
I don't find him laugh out loud funny but his podcast isn't really that kind of LOL. I do think he is light years above Carolla in terms of interviewing skills and thought process in general. But that's not saying much.
I like his podcast, fairly deep thinker, good interviews, good interviewees, no cock talk or obsession about money.
He is an old school west coast dude with deep comedic roots and lots of cats.
And Jon will call out any side he see's fit. He rails on Obama all the time. The guy just delivers common sense.
AND, Jon Leibowitz was Oscar-worthy in The Faculty!
