How much did your wedding cost? How many attendees did you have? Who paid for it?
About $8k total in '00. We paid. Maybe 100 people.
The divorce was cheaper and money better spent.
That still was a cheaper than usual wedding, it seems. Was it nice or just pulled together?
It was a very small wedding in our house, only family members were in attendance.
Biggest expenditure was the officiant, $100.
little under 20K
Oy vey. Answer the other questions too, please.
dont remember how many people where there. it was a lot. my father in law paid for most of it and my parents did some
It cost I think $150 and took 10 minutes. No one else was there but the preacher. I paid for it.
After seeing so many friends and relatives pay thousands of dollars and go through all the stress and bullshit for one day, it was the smartest move we ever made.
It was actually fantastic. I am not one for all of the traditional wedding crap. We rented a nice lodgelike space at a big bed and breakfast. They supplied the catering which was just an abundance of grilled snacks.......no complaints. Music was just a selection of what we liked piped in. People actually mingled and had a good time with no forced nonsense. Just a night out as our treat.
I really like the non-traditional route. I'm super cheap, so I have a difficult time understanding spending more than the cost of a car.
my parents,her parents,2 brothers and a sister-in law,and a few friends.
we got married by a judge who was a family friend.it was in his chamber.
a dinner later on.
lets see, this was in 1977,so maybe a couple hundred dollars.
It's a silly waste of money. Those funds should go towards a house or even lavish vacation.
It was about $1000. 4 people were there. Once the ceremony was over, they all left my wife and I to be alone in the nice bed and breakfast that we had rented for 3 days. It was great, just her and I to explore the town for awhile, then back to the room to bang, then back out again. We had the best time and made a special memory without all the drama of a wedding with a bunch of people there. No regrets.
Was her future lover in attendance?
A busboy, perhaps?
$30000, 150 people, my in laws.
I fingered my wife's ass for the first time right after the ceremony while she was still in her dress.
I can't remember but, my grandfather was a justice of the peace and he's the one who married us. Needless to say we didn't get married in a church.
I forget the exact amount, but it was WAAAY more than we wanted to spend. My wife's mother wanted to do everything fancy. We split it with her. She was more into it than my wife and I.
It completely drives me insane to see couples waste so much goddamn money on a weeding. It's the biggest scam going.
I told me wife one thing that changed her mind on weddings. "I refuse to spend the first 10 years of our marriage paying off the first night of it."
I have cousins that went bankrupt from their wedding. The idiots thought if they had a grand enough wedding people would pay more in gifts and cash. Thy thought they would make a fortune.
Always the gentlemen.
