 Please. No more. Enough of these shitty movies. I'm including the 1st one.

...the Jupiter Ascending filmmakers are returning to the franchise which brought in $1.632 billion for Warner Bros. Pictures.

It's been over 10 years since the last film hit theaters. The Matrix, starring Keanu Reeves, Laurence Fishburne, Carrie-Anne Moss and Hugo Weaving, opened in theaters in 1999 and was followed by both The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions in 2003.

According to the site: "We’ve been told that the Wachowski’s have already started the writing process with early treatments and outlines already turned into the studio...

I was only teasing. I honestly can't name a decent movie they've made that wasn't wrapped in special effects shit and overcomplicated plots. :dontknow:

Awesome. Hollywood is remaking a shitty series that ripped off great graphic novels. Again!

I hope Fukashima water ends up in their drinking water reservoirs.

The first movie would have been fine as a stand-alone flick. Not great, not even tremendously good, but entertaining and somewhat thought provoking. Also, groundbreaking regarding some of the special effects.

They sequels were uninspired, rambling shitfests. Classic example of "we don't know where else to really take this story but...
ah hell we gotta fuckin' CASH IN!"

The sequels completely and utterly ruined the franchise. Therefore, a reboot is a fool's errand.

Just say it isn't fucking so. So not going to watch any shitty prequil from those two fucks. I would be in on a redo of the original matrix. One that was good and actually made some fucking sense. Having machines enslave humans is stupid. They wouldn't need us for anything. Having a war with humans could happen. Oh hell. Just remake Tron.

The Matrix was totally supposed to be a stand alone.

I was reading about Inception one time and somewhere it stated that the major studios pretty much don't green light movies now without sequel rights in the contract.

Fuck that. Fuck that right in the fucking ear.

I don't care if the reviews say it's the greatest movie on the face of the earth, I will not watch it.

no studio will risk the 100-200 million it now takes to make a potential blockbuster movie based upon an original, unproven idea anymore. if they can't make back their costs in the first weekend, the studios will not take the risk anymore.

what should happen, is everyone not tune into the Oscars, and refuse to go to all-CGI movies (because all the budget goes to the special effects with nothing left for good acting and a good story). unfortunately this will never happen, so the studios will continue to produce flashy crap.
