Even in the early Beatles music, that mofo placed every bass guitar note perfectly.
There is a version of Glass Onion on the Anthology album that has the bass mixed way up I highly recommend it

All My Loving
Agreed, some of his Wings stuff was over bassed though.
I think we can all agree bass is the simplest of musical instruments and is mostly played by those who are unable to master a real instrument
there's only 12 of them
Yeah, even "I Saw Her Standing There" had a great bass line. Really love the bass lines on songs like "Rain," and "Don't Let Me Down" as well.
Acid Lad is a bass player
I didnt bite, woman....
The doors had no Bass.
there is a story about John and Paul sitting at a piano when they first started writing. Paul was going up and down the keyboard playing chords. at one point John asked him "what was that one?". and Paul played the chord again and they wrote "I Want To Hold Your Hand. i think they were both musical prodigies.
most people pass their early stuff off as bubblegum, but the music was much better than that.
Nikki Sixx was just voted best bassist by revolver.
I think that's for " active playing " bands and musicians. But fuck that, Billy Sheehan is still alive and playing.
Revolver is a circle jerk to the record industry, so i'd not listen to jack fuck they said.
Acid Lad's dream is to someday master all the Nikki Sixx riffs
Popularity contest. That's all.
We used to have a joke....A bass player had the guitar tech by the neck punching him. The band grabbed him and asked what he was doing, the bass player said the tech put one of the strings out of tune. The band said "so?" and the bassist said..............
"he wont tell me which one"
