How long do they take to heal without surgery that is?

I injured myself at the end of march and got an MRI today.

It feels pretty good today, but was wondering when it would feel perfect.

I know shit thread but I would like to think that someone here has has this issue.

    I'm guessing Never w/o surgery.

I messed up my left shoulder 7.5 years ago and can still feel it when I stretch it.

Actually it doesn't much matter... 6 - 8 weeks everything will be healed but the torn material will jam the joint forever till removed.

I have done the roids to get rid of the inflamation and ice them every night. Bought neoprene braces for support and healing. Pain level is now at a 2. Still some minor swelling. Feels better after working out/Krav Maga Classes.
I am guessing it wont be completely right until after about 6 months.

I thought once it was torn, it's torn, unless you get surgery. If you don't get it repaired, you might have to have it scraped and cleaned in a few years.

I did the TENS unit on it and it did mask the pain when I had alot of it anyways.

I did it 3 years ago playing softball. Had them go in and clean it up right away.

7 weeks later, I was playing golf with no worries. Don't fuck around with it.....just go get it scoped.

I effed up my other knee about 5-6 years ago, but I didnt see a doctor for it. It took about 5-6 months on its own to heal and havnt had any problems with it since.

Problem is now since I have been compensating for the one knee the other one has started to swell and feel unstable.

What I cant figure out is the joint is strong so the doc says and wonder why it feel great after working out/jogging/classes.

Get the surgery....research the surgeon Xs 10

The hard part is the rehab....getting it moving again

Don't be a pussy...the DR will tell you to stay inactive for like 6 weeks.....the sooner you get moving the better

You may have messed up your other knee but didn't tear anything. You have a definite tear in this knee. It's up to you but I would get a second surgical opinion and then make a decision. If you are an active person, you don't want this injury to flair up more seriously a year from now.
