it's an insidious disease and I gotta believe we may still not have found universal cures (or at least preemptive treatments) at this point, but instead of undertaking and then maintaining the Iraq Invasion boondoggle, if instead, what we wasted was directly allocated into Cancer research, we'd be a helluva lot better off now instead of considering reentry into the skirmish and countless lives, maybe even Taylor's would have been spared.

Or if we could just use 10% of the money that the fat fuck roger moore spends on food, or even 3% of the stern wig allowance.

Do you really think if we hadn't gone into Iraq that all the wasted money would have been put to cancer research, or any other research at all?

The government is very good at one thing: wasting our fucking money.

I do agree that we need to put MUCH more money into cancer research. The amount we put in per death vs something like AIDs is fucking ridiculous.

I would guess after billions of dollars in research over the years with top doctors, computers, technology and medicine, they have the cures for these diseases. Problem is if you release them, the worlds population spins out of control and housing, food supplies and police states all over the world would be pushed way over the limit and exhausted and you'd have huge world problems. Plus you'd lose all the billions is "research" funding. There's people getting very rich off those donations for cures.

Jonas Salk and others cured Polio and other diseases back in the days with no computers, big technology, or billions of dollars in research. It wasn't a business. How is it in the last high technology 30 yrs, we cured nothing? No way. They sure as hell did but the millions and millions they take in for the cures are used for other things.

    Worlds Births to Deaths:

Right now, for every 22 births, there's only 8 deaths. You release the cures and forget it. A population boom on Earth like never seen before and the Earth exhausted in resources in a short time. The world and the governments need disease as population control as shitty and sad as that is.

I have to guess these diseases have cures already locked away. I could be wrong. Just what I always kind of thought. :dontknow:

Yeah, we need to be careful what we wish for. Concentrate on preventing EARLY deaths. But if we cured all cancer we'd be knee deep in helpless disabled ancient human beings to support and it would collapse existing retirement plans, and in many other ways also impoverish the world.

I was just watching a bunch of Designing Women episodes they were running back to back late at night. It was a pretty good show (a little preachy at times). The one that played Julia is dead and now Anthony. That leaves just Suzanne , Charlene and Mary Jo. :(

They are running a bunch of them now on Logo tv.

MAYBE George Idiot Bush could have allowed federal funding of stem cell research instead of invading Iraq and wasting our money :)
