Fox is not the first Mexican leader to reject Trump's call for a border wall.

Former Mexican President Felipe Calderón said earlier this month that his nation would not pay “a single cent” for the barrier.

I dont know a ton about Mexico but with all its beautiful coast line it should be a somewhat of a prosperous middle class country and its the exact opposite so something tells me not to trust what some corrupt ex president says.

You are correct about its coastline, and besides all that, the country is loaded with petroleum, precious metals, and fertile soils. Actually, there is a large, and growing, middle class, and new wealth is being created in Mexico regularly. Plus, there has been a steady decrease in the numbers of illegal immigrants from Mexico over the last few years because of the new opportunities in Mexico.

All that aside, if we agree that Trump's wall is an American national security issue, why would another sovereign nation pay for our national security? Delegating our national security to another country seems like the worst possible idea ever.

It's a negotiation tactic. Ask for the moon and settle for something in between. It's Trump's way of saying there will be a new sheriff in town and he will hold Mexico responsible for dumping illegals in the U.S.

Do we have evidence that the Mexican government is sending Mexican citizens to the US? I suspect not, and that the illegal immigrants here are here of their own volition.

I disagree. Have you ever driven or walked across the border into/from Mexico? I have crossed probably hundreds of times over the years, and there are armed federales all over the place. They stop people all the time. I've seen it.

all he has to do is hold his corporate buddies responsible for hiring them.
then, all a wall would do is keep them from leaving here.
supply and demand works if u let it work.

that said, the border still needs secured. but not because of mexicans.

They have rampant unchecked corruption thanks to politicians being bought off by industrial and commercial interests, it's been that way for a very long time. In return, those politicians make things absurdly easy for those oligarchs. And, none of the wealth trickles down to the middle class, and the corruption just continues in a vicious cycle, creating hotbeds of crime and pockets of lawlessness.

Thank goodness nothing like that could ever happen here.

Do you know where that picture was taken? I assure you that this was taken somewhere way way south of the US/Mexico border, and probably south of Mexico as well. Regardless, what does this picture tell you about a nation sending, or stopping, its citizens into another country? Does the railroad company have any responsibility in this as well?
