Thanks for posting these. Brings back a lot of happy memories. I thought that strip of seedy, run down movie theaters all in a row was the most magical place in the city. It was there where I saw all those great grindhouse flicks of the '70s as a teenager. Stuff like Dr. Black and Mr. Hyde, The Crater Lake Monster and Count Dracula and His Vampire Brides. Films that NEVER played at my neighborhood theatre in the suburbs of Long Island. A lot of times what was going on in the theatre was more entertaining than what was on the screen. I always went to the matinee, so the theatre was mostly empty except for drug dealers, prostitutes on a break and winos. Good times, but I freely admit that today I wouldn't be as brave to patronize such an establishment. Hell, I wouldn't even want to sit on one of those seats without a hazmat suit on. Chalk it up to the ignorance of youth.
In the Dirty Seedy clip there are several shots of deceased porn star Jamie Gillis. Jamie said he wanted his ashes scattered in Times Square after he died when he was interviewed in the 70's but in a few months prior to his death in 2010 he no longer had that desire. He said the current Times Square was too clean and it would contaminate his ashes.
Who the fuck do you think you are, LaserTilt?
LOL, look at all those white faces watching the seal.
