    The boycott is on.

Within hours of signing the so-called "Religious Freedom Bill" into law in Indiana, Governor Mike Pence learned that there would be a price to pay for enacting what critics say is a brazenly anti-gay piece of legislation. Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff announced that the the San Francisco-based company would cancel all travel to Indiana, effective immediately.

The law allows businesses the right to refuse serving gays and lesbians on religious grounds, and former Star Trek actor and gay rights activist George Takei helped lead the charge to boycott the state should Pence sign the bill.

"To the governor and to the legislators in Indiana who support this backward-looking and divisive bill, I say to you this: If it goes into effect, Indiana will be marked as a state where certain people are not welcome, and so we will not visit," Takei wrote Tuesday on Facebook. "And we will not attend events, including GenCon, the world’s largest gaming convention, held in Indianapolis each year."

The organizers of GenCon, which attracts close to 60,000 people to its annual convention in Indianapolis, had threatened in a letter to relocate their event to a different state if the bill was signed into law. As yet they have have made no further comment.

After Pence's private signing of the law, Takei expressed his frustration to his 1.59 million Twitter followers.

I liked George in the beginning. Now he sounds like an entitled little bitch that has no tolerance for difference of thought.

    His tweets can be funny

It's a backwards bill that discriminates against a group of people. It's like the 1950's again when when Mexicans had to sit in the back or were refused service. And you forgot to mention the Religious nuts that that feel entitled and cry like little bitches.

    it's a silly notion
    (it's a little talibany--people enjoy that phrase)

but this is what the people of that state voted for--and the businesses that wish to go with it might sink or swim based solely on it
the sun will keep rising in the morning

This law will backfire. The religious kooks are quickly becoming socially irrelevant and they know it.

I just find it laughable that you said George is intolerant discussing a bill that was passed by religious people that are the most intolerant and judgmental people on the planet. You must see the irony in your statement,

I gave you a general assessment of how I see george. It wasn't intended to apply to the bill. Yeah, the bill is a bit backwards, but my assessment fits since George is leading the charge here.

This bill came about b/c the militant left wouldn't stop poking and prodding "average" folks. It is a DIRECT response to people losing businesses for not kowtowing to government directives. It simply states that no person or business can be compelled by law to serve or do business with people or entities that they find objectionable. If a Christian baker doesn't want to bake a cake for a gay wedding, the GOVERNMENT shouldn't force him. If a Jewish wood carver doesn't want to take an order for a big Catholic cross, the GOVERNMENT shouldn't force him to. If consumers get pissed off, that business will go under. We don't need an almighty government to protect us from one-another.

It's not "Judge Not" and be christianly and show the love of God to all men.

It's the do as i say lest you be judged. It says in the bible also that people like that will hear the voice of God saying "Depart from me i never knew you"

You can spot a real man of God because they are full of love for all men and yes they are rare but they do exist.

My thoughts on the bill aw simple:

    1. Businesses should be able to choose who their customers are, even if they discriminate.

    And

    2. Customers should be able to express their opinion via protest and demonstration.

In theory, a Jewish bakery would be forced by LAW to make a Nazi cake, and a Muslim grocery would be forced to provide food to Mexicans.
