I have a friend - middle age that lives in Texas. He's a smart guy, but had to go back to college for re-training. Anyway, all people entering this college has to take this class that gets them ready for the college experience, to make sure they use this time properly and get them ready at the beginning for the workforce.

The Professor asked all students (mostly 18 year olds) what their expected salary for their first job will be once they graduate college? here were some of the answers...

One kid said 400K, because his uncle is a stockbroker and he should make the same. The professor said maybe later on, but do you expect this salary fresh from school. He did. There were about 4 or 5 other kids that raised their hands and stated salaries from 100K to 300K.
Unbelievable, wow, they are going to be disappointed on their first interviews or if by the time they graduate the robots take their fucken jobs.

its not just millennials. back in the 1990's the kids I went to college with expected to make at least 250k as doctors when they were finished with school.
what a big surprise they were in for.

YOU SHOULD :) I've had conversations with a few people in HR roles. They can't keep up with the whiney millennials. They need constant praise and if you don't give them praise for doing an average job they run off and complain.

This was the BIGGEST MISTAKE EVER!

ahhh the innocence of youth....just wait until life kicks them in the teeth a few times. Just takes a little longer these days since they don't have to move out of the parent's house until they are 30.

I can see crazy notions of money if you want to become a doctor or even a lawyer, but these kids weren't even studying to be a professional.

The starting salary at Larry, Inc. is $1 million per week, but we only hire the very best cream of the crop.

They were probably just confused because they had to stop looking at their phone for more than 5 minutes.

Young, dumb, and idealistic spans generations.

The millenials have the tools and have made the choice to put what they know (and don't know) out there forever.

A lot of blame is on the curriculum and the fruitcakes that are hired to "teach" (actually indoctrinate).

Kids all have chips on their shoulders, expect to be successful, and think they have all the answers...education should be prepping them for reality but instead it is designed to create a voter poll that reward the fruitcakes in "education".

    Makes sense.
I imagine that there are only so many cross dressing twinks out there looking for work.

I saw my first grade school transgender kid today. Barrette in his hair and everything. I didn't know what to say or do for fear of using the wrong pronoun. I just said "Jim" has this and "Jim" needs that.

Seems like child abuse to do that to a first grader even if he is on the fem side and plays with dolls or that kind of stuff.
