    I'm mindful of when I close a door, early in the morning, so as not to slam it, like most people do where I live. Is that Mindfulness?

    You will be a much happier person if you can be mindful and live in the moment. Anxiety is thinking too much about the future and it sucks if you have it.

    It's so hard man. My mind was made to analyze and fix and prepare and all that shit. Makes me great at what I do but its very difficult to shut off and can be torture when it gets out of control. Meditation really is a fantastic tool and it does work but its so difficult for someone like me. It shouldn't be so difficult to calm yourself and be mindful. Sometimes I feel broken.

    I get ya, and I do know the benefits of just being in the moment, but this whole thing has a cultish vibe about it and it mostly attracts annoying hippie/yuppie types.

    Best way for me to get there: be hyper focused on something... Martial arts, music, driving, working on a passion project etc.

    Candles, gurus, sitting in a circle with a bunch of random assholes, and hipster faggot phone apps are not necessary.
    At least crossfit makes chicks get super hot bodies.
