He was a great man, but this is blatant pandering... what say you. Of all of the great people in history black/white/hispanic. They choose MLK only?

They've changed the page to note the passing of many notable figures, so what's the big deal if they change the page for a day to tribute MLK's legacy?

It was changed for George Harrison, Nelson Mandela, Robin Williams, Steve Jobs, Rosa Parks, Gregory Hines, etc. Their "Think Different" campaign tips a hat to all sorts of people who made a mark.

...now if there was MLK-"sale" in the app store today, yes - I'd call it pandering.

The whole notion that we have a federal holiday for MLK is pandering.

Wow... pandering? Guess only important white folks in history should be on the home page during their federal holiday? Some white people are so fucked up in their mentality.

Martin Luther King Day is the worst timed holiday of the year. I have no real objection to the reason behind the holiday, but the day it falls on is obnoxious. Make it January 2nd, or better yet, sometime in February.

I guess you missed the part where I said he was a great man. And there black/white/Hispanic people that were just as important. Why ONLY MLK.

Lincoln wasn't equally important ? If not more? Didn't see anything on Lincolns birthday.

It's MLK day. They change it all the time. Is there someone more important today?

I've seen it changed 3 time. For Steve,Maya Angelou and MLK. I think it was maya I could be wrong.

If you don't think this was a marketing decision you're crazy. Nothing in a 1/2 trillion dollar company goes out without sign off

Disagree. But not worth debating. Love that we can agree to disagree on this and still skewer Beth and Howard.
