    Gisele Bundchen received backlash on Twitter today after the New York Post carried a picture of the supermodel wearing a burka to visit a plastic surgeon.

    The traditional Muslim wear covered everything but the woman's feet, but the newspaper claimed it was the 35-year-old model in disguise so she slip into the surgery clinic without being noticed by paparazzi.

    Under the headline 'Cover Up!' the newspaper alleged Gisele was visiting the International Clinique du Parc Monceau in Paris for $11,000 surgeries on her breasts and eyes.



    The pictures reportedly showed Gisele heading into the swanky clinic on July 15 - during the Islamic holy month of Ramadan. They say a clear giveaway of her presence were her open-toed sandals, which are prohibited for strict Muslim women wearing a burka.

    One Twitter user wrote: "Gisele wearing burqa as a reason to plastic surgery is OFFENSIVE to the Muslims, burqa is part of their religion&used for modesty. #gisele"

    France banned the wearing of burkas in public spaces in 2010.

    I love that when Naomi jumped on the Peta "I'd rather go naked than wear fur" bandwagon (senseless campaign anyway as it accomplishes nothing) and then quickly went back to wearing fur... the part I love is that she's real fuckin bald these days from years of hair weaves so now she's dependent on human hair wigs.
