A continuation on my sugar drink thread ....enjoy that slippery slope new yorkers:

    http://www.myfoxny.com/story/18774940/health-panel-talks-about-wider-food-ban

One member, Bruce Vladeck, thinks limiting the sizes for movie theater popcorn should be considered.
"The popcorn isn't a whole lot better than the soda," Vladeck said.
Another board member thinks milk drinks should fall under the size limits.
"There are certainly milkshakes and milk-coffee beverages that have monstrous amounts of calories," said board member Dr. Joel Forman.

Ultimately, New Yorkers will be left choosing between Bloomberg and someone else.

you're not allowed to type "Bloomberg" at work? You work for the KKK or American Nazi Party? Which company bans Jewish family names?

nope. he's not up for re-election. the last one was too costly and did not have a decent ROI as he only won by 3%.

instead he is financing the City council members reelection efforts so he can continue to pull their strings.

I'm with you...although, even though the media will have you think that he's "whacko" on some topics, I can never seem to find a direct quote of his (in context) that I disagree with.

Of course, I don't agree with everything that anyone says, but Ron Paul comes the closest to the direction I would like to go...

I go to the movies once every 2-3 months maybe. If I want a huge drink and a boatload of popcorn by damn I should have the right to do it. Hey Mayor Asshole, people will buy 2 smaller ones. Don't be stupid, you moron.

I'm starting to get nervous that he may actually cautiously endorse Mitt for the sake of Rand. That weasel asshole, Jesse Benton, said that Ron will not endorse Gary Johnson and Ron's silence since Rand endorsed Mitt on Hannity isn't exactly inspiring hope.

It's been exciting to see so many people (especially young people) embrace Libertarianism and educate themselves on various aspects of individualism, liberty and economic and property philosophy that isn't part of the two party system...and Ron Paul is a major part of that. Seeing him support some neocon, statist asshole like Mitt could really fuck that up and disillusion many who looked at Paul as a symbol for the movement. Hopefully, that won't be the case.
