Unions only care about maximizing money for those who run the union, thats it.

But if the US continues on its current path, lets expedite the collapse of society and unionize all jobs. This way 99.9% of manufacturing will be overseas, small business owners will implement mass automating in every single possible area, and unemployment will reach 75%.

This. The only thing ever so mildly eyebrow-raising is just how very brazen the union leadership is here. The only bullshit non-excuse they can come up with is it "protects collective bargain workers."

Oh, and nary a word on CNN about it. Shocker!

My wife is a member of a teachers union and the stories I could tell....protecting weak workers, exploiting policies, laziness all because the unions created a vacuum for it to be permitted and the kids suffer

Unions are responsible for both building America into the super power it is and now destroying it. There was a time and place for unions in America and now is no longer the time nor is America the place.

I'm a union guy. I see their necessity.
They aren't perfect. They're a little self-serving, but the alternative isn't pretty either.
That said, this is really slimy.
Having a union job that pays under $15 an hour isn't worth shit.

100% agreed. Unions were completely necessary when the government turned a blind eye to the plight of workers and cared nothing for safety. However with massive government regulations in every factor of all businesses, there is ZERO need for a union. This is not the world of Upton Sinclair where at any moment you could fall in a grinder and be turned into lard, only for nothing to happen for your family or to the business.

America has overtime laws, protected classes (lol), and countless agencies in our ever expanding bureaucracy like the DOL where perceived abuses can be reported and investigated. The only reason for a union now is because they offer pensions for people that are not intelligent enough to invest their own money and think that a union pension is actually guaranteed, which its not in reality.

Unions now exist only to make money like any other business. I know some guys who worked doing HVAC stuff. One was reprimanded numerous times while working and "trying to take other peoples jobs from them", 2 instances that show the types of conversations are: 1. He helped an old lady with her bag to her taxi and 2. While fixing a duct, a person in the hotel asked him to look at the mini bar and he noticed the switch was flipped to off so he flipped it on.

He was scolded by the employees in charge of doing that for trying to take their jobs and by the union bosses for overstepping his job for which they threatened to fire him if it happens again. He also told me of guys whose sole job was to stand in the elevator and push buttons and the owner/manager could not ask them to do anything else like help someone with their bag or the employee would cry to the union. So these fuckers would stand in an elevator and push a button and if a person staying at the hotel suddenly needed help they had to call down for the guy who's job description was bag help. Absolutely insane.

    by being extorted by unions?

why don't you let people choose their self interest and not force them into joining a union if they don't want to?

really? you understand that in all sorts of different work you are FORCED to join a union, yes?

    which corporations have unionized?

    who's for outlawing unions?

how are you against giving people the freedom to choose for themselves whether they want to join a union or not?
