It's been a long time since I can recall a series of television commercials more annoying than the spots being run currently by a group called NoMore.org. I guess they would view the fact that I'm even talking about them as an indication that their campaign is a success. But I swear the commercials themselves are so insipid, they come across as being every bit as manipulative as the predators they're seeking to confront. Just as Paul Watson and his crew of incompetent hipster douchebags created an entire generation of people who now openly root for Japanese whalers, I fear this group is well on its way toward creating the same feelings of ambivalence with respect to victims of domestic violence. More gratuitous emotional pornography being force fed to the masses. Thank you, Oprah.
