Ghostbusters, Total Recall, Point Break, Robocop, Karate Kid....all great classics that should have stood alone and never been remade. What movie that was good or bad would you not mind seeing remade? I wouldn't mind

    Willow (Peter Dinklage)
    Pretty Woman (Kate Mara)
    The Warriors

Remakes should, ideally, be movies that had good premises but not so execution.

Willow is a great example, as is The Warriors. Pretty Woman I've no opinion about. And Kate Mara? Really.

Semi-Pro, about a struggling ABA team in the 70s when everyone was doing blow, could be a really funny movie if done right. Will Ferrell's version was not.

And can they please redo the Star Wars prequels? I honestly think anything else would be better than what we have.

I hate saying it, but A Clockwork Orange. But it needs a great director. SK was going for a time period...I know that's how the book was but, let's not cry about it anymore.

A huge problem with remaking movies now is the shit cultural sensitivity and diversity. I don't know if moves can be as effectively dark as they once were. Even if they throw some dark shit in there, will we get a morality lesson by the bad guy getting his comeuppance or otherwise softening the impact of the disturbing scenes?

Can you imagine remaking Breakfast at Tiffany's now and casting a white guy to play Mr. Yunioshi?

I hear there's a killer remake of Porky's that should be ready for release any time now.
