I hope nobody else has done this. It has been out for quite a while.

I finally saw the Three Stooges movie yesterday. It starts out with a little background on the boys. They were dropped off at an orphanage as babies. The kids that played the young stooges did a great job. Larry David is particularly good playing one of the Nuns. The boys grow up and never leave the orphanage. The plot is about them trying to earn enough money out in the real world to save the orphanage from being sold.

The three guys who played the stooges were spot on. I was worried that it would seem like a movie of actors trying to portray the stooges. Those three were great. Their voices were perfect. BTW, the guy who played Larry was voice coached by Billy West. They had the looks down almost as well.

They did a pretty good job modernizing it. The inclusion of the "Jersey Shore" cast fit in well.

Sofia Vergara plays a pretty big part. Without giving too much away, at one point, she is giving a guy a "boost" over a fence and he steps on one of her boobs. They made a great sound effect out of that! That's the kind of funny that is spread out through the movie. She isn't the greatest actress in the world but she does fine in this part. Basically an evil version of her Modern Family character.

If you are a fan of the original stooges, I think you will enjoy this. Almost all of the stunts that you remember are performed in this movie. If you've never seen a Stooges short, I'm not sure if you'd like this. It is full of slapstick and sight gags. My daughter went with me. She isn't real familiar with the stooges but seemed to enjoy herself.

I'd give it 4 Nyuk, Nyuks out of 5.

It's on the first page. And I give one word reviews and the movie sucked. A plot that's been done a zillion times and there were no references to any of the old stuff, an Emil Sitka shout out would of been nice. It was a piece of shit pure and simple

The whole Anniversary party was a reference to the "Society Lady" stuff that they did with Symona Boniface and others. Find me a plot that hasn't been done a zillion times. As far as Emil Sitka, he played so many different roles, it would be hard to do a "shout out." You could say that the guy at the gate of the anniversary party letting people in was playing a Sitka role.

I think this was the best possible Stooges movie that could be made, considering today's PC climate. It's never going to stand up to the originals but I'm glad they tried.
