This one stars Owen Wilson and Pierce Brosnan. Lake Bell was the female lead. Although I recognized her, I'm not really familiar with her work. The Owen Wilson family, Mom, Dad and two cute girls, are flying to some unnamed country in Southeast Asia. It borders with Vietnam so it has to be Cambodia, Laos or China. They meet the Pierce Brosnan character on the flight over. Owen is going to work there for a water purification manufacturer. The second they land, somebody shoots the leader of the country and there is a violent coup. They start shooting every American, and basically every white person on site. No hostages, all dead. The whole movie is about them trying to escape this country. Brosnan plays a part but it isn't really major. This movie is very thin on plot. Very. Thin. It is basically an excuse for Owen wilson and family to get in scrapes and almost get killed multiple times. The way it ends is disappointing. I'd have to spoil some of it to say why so I won't. They are in the plane, get to their hotel, the coup starts, they try to escape. That's the whole movie in a nutshell. I would probably skip this even on video if there was anything else available. As it was, I got in for the Matinee price so I wasn't screwed out of $12.50. My advice - Don't Go.
