Saving Private Ryan
Only one ever has, which was Dear Zachary.
I even knew the 'twist' in the story going into it. And I almost couldn't breath I was crying so hard.
The Killing Fields.
Don't know that one.
Forrest Gump, when he meets his kid
That skateboard movie on @xavier thread. Balling my eyes out especially after they shot the blow up doll!
The Green Mile
Field of Dreams
Lost my Dad a few years ago, and would love to have a catch with him again.
The hardest parts for me were seeing Andrew's parents' profound grief and anger. It was an open wound and I felt like I shouldn't be watching it. But i watched the whole thing and cried throughout.
Watch it without reading about it first.
It will absolutely gut you.
I've never heard of it. Where would I begin to find it?
Elephant Man - when he's talking about his mother and how he's tried so hard to be good.
Das Boot - all of those poor, dead krauts at the end.
I know it's on Netflix, prepare for emotions
Good pick! That scene at the last launch with his dad was great after the struggle through the whole movie.
This one is good too, when David finally tells his secret and you know he's made it to his mother, it might make one a little misty.
There was a part when his father, I think, says there is no point to living anymore - something to that effect. Totally heartbreaking.
And yeah. I feel like that movie was a little too intimate. I feel like I shouldn't have watched it, but I am glad I did. I feel like it is one of the best documentaries ever made - but I will never tell my family about it or recommend it to them because I don't want them to see it.
I can't even get through a trailer about it without getting misty eyed. Seriously. 18 second mark when his friend chokes up and my heart is already breaking all over again.
Don't watch it if you are not in a comfortable space where you can have a good hard cry.
