It's only a matter of when:

Roger Ailes's tenure as the head of Fox News may be coming to an end. Rupert Murdoch and sons Lachlan and James — co-chairmen and CEO, respectively, of parent company 21st Century Fox — have settled on removing the 76-year-old executive, say two sources briefed on a sexual-harassment investigation of Ailes being conducted by New York law firm Paul, Weiss. After reviewing the initial findings of the probe, James Murdoch is said to be arguing that Ailes should be presented with a choice this week to resign or face being fired. Lachlan is more aligned with their father, who thinks that no action should be taken until after the GOP convention this week. Another source confirms that all three are in agreement that Ailes needs to go.

If they force him out will Fox stop having hot blondes on? If so I'm against him leaving.

I would be very surprised if this changes much, vis a vis, the content on the channel.
Fox is popular precisely because it's an alternative to the center-left that dominates every other TV news channel.
Murdoch isn't going to turn it liberal just because Ailes goes.
So, beyond the left thinking they got a conservative "scalp," I'm not sure why'd they get too excited.

Agreed, but Ailes created Fox News, not Rupert Murdoch (he just paid for it.) Ailes has pure conservative power.

No one has mentioned 'scalps', or gotten 'excited' either.

Ailes is a smart cookie. He will sigh on somewhere else and go head to head with Fox.

Ailes used to work at MSNBC. I guess he was beyond reproach then.

Ailes is even creepier than I thought. They had to move the sexual harassment investigation out of the Fox News building because Ailes has all the offices bugged.

Years ago I read a story about Ailes that he's extremely paranoid and worried that a sniper would assassinate him through the windows in his office. He demanded Rupert Murdoch have bullet proof glass installed. Murdoch replied 'Oh, go buy some drapes.'

Howard had bullet proof glass at KROQ, according to Ian Halperin.

He feared that "homosexual activists" were going to assassinate him. It's in a book I read about him called 'The Loudest Voice in the Room'.

Alex Trebek: "This old, portly, balding auteur frightens his audience and is obsessed with blondes. He hires them so he can harass and abuse them." Contestant: "Who is Alfred Hitchcock?" Alex Trebek: "Oh I'm sorry. We were looking for Roger Ailes."
