I attended a small July 4th Street fair at Celebration, Fl this afternoon. Appearing onstage was a local resident who was an act on Season 9 of America's Got Talent. Her name was Carly Jo Jackson. I don't know how far she got on the show, but obviously her "career" just skyrocketed after appearing on the show. I mean, here she was performing on a makeshift plywood stage in the middle of nowhere. Anyway, just before the DJ announced her he asks excitedly "Who here watches America's Got Talent?" I kid you not, out of an audience of about 500 people (most who were just wandering about, not actually standing there to see her perform) one person, ONE clapped. The silence was deafening and that just made me burst out laughing. I should also point out that the crowd had a good mix of senior citizens and children. Isn't that AGT's core audience?
