I took a drive to the desert and noticed it was gone when I got there.
$80 on ebay...
We're camping at Carpinteria this weekend, what desert area did you go to?
We usually go to Cal City.
the roof hatch? that sucks...mine are the crank open style, if it isn't tightened down it will jiggle in the wind and slowly open up. I've been lucky and caught it before it fully opened and blew off. new trailer has escape hatch on passenger side window
I've had the cover of my AC unit fly off somewhere in downtown Dallas...some under privileged kid has a make shift sled he can use about once every ten years...
the other side of barstow.. near newberry cave
mine was small 2' x 16"...freeway was empty saturday so I doubt it hit anybody
mine was the crank style...i noticed it was deteriorating when I caulked the roof last week..
Huh huh huh... Caulked.
I lent out my aluminum enclosed snowmobile trailer to a friend that was moving, he left one of the roof vents open and it was gone when it came back. never noticed for a few weeks and he tries telling me it was gone when he borrowed it. right...
I put these on my new one, you can leave the vents open and the wind won't tear 'em off. not much help for an escape vent/hatch tho.
I let my brother in law ride my motorcycle, he comes back in 45 minutes and walks in the house. I go hmmm why didn't he say anything? I look at the bike, the foot peg is bent straight up.
I think I'll post a pic of my patch
Wow, pretty cool.
Did you actually hike up to the cave?
I had those on my Weekend Warrior because I liked to have the vents open when I drove to reduce the gas fume buildup.
Sounds like to me a person making up an alibi as to why their "escape" hatch got kicked out.
almost a necessity on a toyhauler for sure. old one was an open style, wife wasn't a fan of the living area smelling like dirtbike so we went with a model that has a separate garage and drop down bunks for the kids. the back vents stay open on the road, makes a big difference
Yeah, those are nice.
We almost went with a model like that but, my wife had her heart set on an RV.
She likes to be able to use the bathroom and make a sandwich and sleep while I drive for 8 hours straight.
I have an 8x12 flatbed for the bikes now.
Blew off the hatch? You brewing up something sketchy in there, Heisenberg?
nice...that's our next setup I'm thinking, I'll just pull the snowmobile trailer behind loaded with the toys. will be a few years before I can afford a diesel pusher tho. they sure have some nice ones to pick from.
it's pretty tight in the garage with everything in there. enclosed trailer has more room inside, and a guy can set that up for the kids to camp in. then the wife doesn't have to make up and tear down their beds every morning/night
