I was raised with music, I have a passion for it, and I know more about it than the average person, especially when it comes to the old stuff.

But I was just YouTubing all of Badfinger's albums in their entirety, as I've always been a fan of theirs and have been on a Badfinger kick lately, and I came across THIS.

I had NO idea this was a cover when I first heard it sung by (and popularized by) Mariah Carey in the 90s and I had no idea that Badfinger wrote it/did it first...

Why do you think you "know more about it than the average person"?

Because in my experience I definitely do.

My parents are both musicians. I was raised with a variety of music, mostly old stuff; and raised to have a passion for it. When a friend has a question about who sang what, or what came out when or whatever, they ask me.
And if I get into an argument about music (trivia, history, facts, etc) I'm right 99% of the time.

    Right??!

The Badfinger (original) version? I've never heard it in my life.
And my parents loved Badfinger and played them around the house. They saw them in concert before they all killed themselves and whatnot...
