He's not fixed, or declawed. He doesn't shut up - alllllllllllllllllllll day and night: MEOW, MEOW, MEOW, MEOW, MEOW, MEOW, MEOW, MEOW, MEOW, MEOW, MEOW, MEOW, MEOW, MEOW, MEOW, MEOW, MEOW, MEOW. I'm never sure if I'm dreaming it at night, or if he's still going.

He's already taken my dog to task - my dog was accustomed to a cat with no claws that she could just chew on like a toy - this cat has claws, and she's learned quickly. She's got slices up her muzzle already. Kinda serves her right, in all fairness.

This is going to be a rough learning curve for me. But he is downright adorable.

Be careful since he's not fixed. I've heard that when "in heat" they can pee everywhere.

He his a handsome fella. Is he a stray?

its worse than just pee. when they're not fixed they spray and the stink never fades away. mine sprayed the walls of the stairs and i had to have the sheet rock cut out and replaced... and he got "fixed" too.

No, he's my daughter's cat that she bought a couple of years ago. This is the second time I've taken him in.

I have warned her - he's adorable, and sweet, and affectionate - but that little fucker starts pissing on my shit or clawing up my furniture, and he goes for a long drive that he never returns from.

Call me what you want, animal humpers - it's a cost/balance analysis. Thousands of dollars in furniture and carpet and belongings - or $5 worth of gas to dump him on the side of the road and let him have a shot at life on his own.

I have had cats before, I love my dog - I was rather roped into this one. It's fine, as long as he's not a douche-fuck.

most animal shelter organizations offer very affordable spaying (like $50 or less) so there's no reason not to have it done (especially since with a male it's an outpatient deal).

Funny you say that Lemmy - my daughter has jumped around in life, and this cat has lived in a barn for a few months before. She begged me to take him back to the farm before I just dump him on the side of the road, should things not work out.

I think things will be fine. I really wish he'd shut up, but as long as he doesn't piss on my stuff or claw things up - I'll learn how to deal with the constant meowing.
