Yeah, I didn't really care for it. I think he needs to stop making movies (which I think he said he was gonna do).

Kevin Smith is interesting in a discussion forum setting but he's a lousy film maker.

Please Kevin, tell us the Superman story again :rolleye:

    Ditto.

He talks a great game but after Chasing Amy, he's done nothing worth putting on film.

BTW Kevin, mix in a salad ya fat bastard.

When the most news you've gotten in the last 10 years is because Southwest throws you off a flight over weight concerns, you are FAT.

    TY. :coffee:

Yeah, he's one of those filmmakers that made a great film based on his life (or something he cared about) and then created stuff that didn't live up to that afterwards (e.g. Spike Lee). But I thought Chasing Amy and Dogma were pretty good, not great or as good as Clerks though.

Mallrats was fucking horrible. I didn't get it at all. And I like stupid movies. It's the kind of movie you would make with your idiot teenage friends and all of you would find it funny but no one else would.

can anyone tell me what the point of red state was?

poking fun at religious zealots? easy, cliche.

poking fun at the government? easy, cliche.

poking fun at everyone? easy, cliche.

    fuck kevin smith. my opinion.

Dink is clearly obsessed with Kevin Smith.

He's not going to fuck you, bro.

Anyone seen his new web show " Spoiled " ? He takes a bunch of troglodites to a free current movie and has them discuss the plot, what they didn't like and etc.

I'm fat, no question. But jesus christ, Nike is going to have to make a new size for his shitty hockey jersey.

Also, between the comic book show and spoiled, Jason Mewes looks like a fucking vegetable with lips. If it wasn't for Kevin Smith projects he'd have no money to buy crystal meth ...

I re-watched Dogma last night. I am a big fan of KS but he has no "talent" as filmmaker per se. He is a writer, a story teller and he's a quick wit. I had no interest in Red State even though I heard him promote is over and over.

I wish Kevin Smith would "judge" Geektime, but I doubt he has ever heard it.
