when I called Sirius a few weeks back to "cancel", after scoring a deal for $75 for the year, I asked about the fee to beam the signal to another receiver. Without no hesitation, the guy said that they would waive that fee for me when the time comes. I know that Sirius Customer Service gets a lot of shit, but they really will do what they can to retain your subscription.

I just had my second Sirius portable car radio (which was a free replacement for the first one I bought) break. The antenna plug just snapped off, so I called to cancel. The first lady in accounts transferred me to a second lady in parts to get me a free replacement. At first, she said no more free radios, but she could sell me a new one for $70! So I told her hell no, cancel my account.

Then transferred back to accounts again. The third lady lady gave me a free radio (the $70 one) but had to charge my credit card $70, then turn around and credits it back to my card. So it was essentially free, minus tax. Bizarre. Whatever. Nobody said nothin' about no $15 reactivation fee. If they pull that, I'll call to cancel again and get the 5 months for $25 deal.

    Ponderous.

my radio broke and they sent me a brand new one free. that was about a year ago and i never even took it out of the box. i don't think it's worth the effort to listen. i'm glad it broke because doing without the show for a week made me realize i didn't need it or want it. i even still pay for a subscription

I replaced my 5year + Sportster that quit on sunday after a power failure... My friend gave me a Stiletto 10 that was still new in the box....I called and asked siriius to transfer my subscription to the Stiletto 10 (It sucks comapred to the trusty old sportster) and they too wanted to charge me $75....I said No way.. I refuse...(I couldnt cancel because I have a Life time subscription.... She puts me on hold....15 mins later she comes on and say NO CHARGE! Go figure!

Somehow I was able to get the $15 waived when switching from a busted radio to a new one. I do one year subs, so maybe that helped? I don't think SiriusXM is as willing to negotiate for month-to-month folks. Or maybe it was luck.

I had to replace the boom box 2 times, the car unit wire one time and the stilletto ended up fuzzy sounding and I had to wrap the wire around my finger in the end to get it to work. Now just listen online for free. Fuck paying for it anymore. Equipment is pure shit.

They tried the same shit on me only the charge was $40. I told them no way was I paying a fee to xfer to a new radio. She put me on hold for a few minutes and came back with $20. I told them to forget it and I was returning the new radio.....hold again, then she came back and said the fee was waived completely.

You shouldn't have to go through all these shenanagans.
