I would never watch "A Serbian Film"...I'm not into shock, I outgrew it.

The last movie that scared the beejesus out of me was when I watched "The Brood" for the first time nearly two years ago.

Also, if you're into alien invasion stuff, I enjoyed "Attack the Block".

I grew up in the 70's and 80's so I am partial to the classics like Halloween(not anything after part 2 though), Friday the 13th, Nightmare on Elm Street, etc. For newer horror, and I don't consider "shock" movies like A Serbian Film or Hostel to be true horror(because I am a horror snob), I really liked the Paranormal Activity movies. An underrated but really effective horror movie is called "Darkness" with a younger Anna Paquin. Really atmospheric and a great ending.
