    I wanted to see the new Star Wars in imax 3D, but chose The Revenant instead. Was not disappointed. Good movie.

    I'm in my mid 50's. I saw most of what people watch now first run in theater. I would have to go back to movies like Forbidden Planet, Goldfinger or Psycho

    I saw Alien first night, 7pm showing. pre internet, no spoilers. people absolutely lost their shit at the chestburster scene. walking out the people waiting for the next showing asked us how it was. we told them the movie was kind of boring.

    I cut school to see the first showing of Star Wars (I refuse to call it A New Hope). This was before all the ballyhoo and the theatre was empty. I even saw Carrie Fisher getting publicity shots taken in front of the theatre. I had no idea who the fuck she was until I saw the shots appear in an issue of Starlog months later. :doh:

    Films I'd like to have seen first run to witness audiences reactions are:

    Frankenstein (1931)

    King Kong (1933)

    or any early Marx Brother's Paramount film.
