They were all great, but all pale in comparison to Galaga...depending on the machine, I could get to a million; on most other machines, 500K-600K was doable.
I loved double dragon. if i remember correctly, that was the first video game in my neighborhood that was 50Â¢ to play and 50Â¢ to continue. Plus the pizzeria had it set to the highest dufficulty and that you only started with 2 lives.
After that game, Xenophobe and Gauntlet II were huge addictions to my childhood.
Everything changed when Street Fighter II came out in 1991. Me and my best friend purposely cut school every day to go to Fudruckers in Howard Beach just to play that damn game.
Arcades are a thing of the past now. Its sad. it used to be a great place to hang out as a teen, not spend tons of money and meet girls and stuff.
Earliest favorite I can think of, the home versions never did it justice.
