2014 TV Scorecard: NBC cancels 'Community,' 'Revolution' as ABC dumps 'Trophy Wife,' 'Suburgatory'

While most of the major broadcast networks have now announced which shows are renewed and which are cancelled for next season, a few veterans remain in limbo.

The fate of "Community," "Revolution," "Growing Up Fisher," "Believe" and "Crisis" were sealed by NBC, which pulled the plug on the shows Friday.

They did, however, pick up "About a Boy" and "Hannibal," which will return for its third season.

The network though has given neither an official thumbs-up nor thumbs-down to "Parenthood.".............................................

My son & his pals love Community. I guess I'm too old to get it, plus that bald fuck reminds me of Shuli.

I liked Community, then the creator was fired (and came back), they lost cast members and Annie's boobs shrank.

Where could they have gone with it? Never watched it but the premise seemed like it couldn't really last that long

I liked Revolution. The network sabotaged it. The first season it grabbed very good ratings so NBC decided to preempt its second season for sports, delaying and interrupting the airings so that the audience never knew when it would be on and its ratings dropped. Once again superior TV is flushed down the toilet by incompetent network management.

Community is the only NBC show I make an effort to watch anymore. It may not pull huge numbers, but it has a devoted following that NBC could have made money off of for another season or two. Which is something they couldn't hope to do with those other shows. (except maybe Revolution?) The G.I. Joe episode was fantastic!

Not just NBC. there's been a general bloodbath of cancelled shows across all the networks this month. normally i would bitch that nothing is on, but after this week it's literally true.

"Cheers" wouldn't have lasted two seasons w/ the dipshits running programming nowadays.

Neither would Seinfeld, which is now considered perhaps the greatest sitcom of them all.
