and i really love having a thermal pot. i am reading reviews of thermal pots and it seems they ALL leak!!!!! anyone have a coffee maker with a thermal carafe that makes good coffee and doesn't leak?
Thermal carafe? I don't know this is the one I have at work and at home. Had them for awhile and they work pretty good. http://www.gevalia.com/gevalia-sign...ult,pd.html?start=5&cgid=coffeemakers-gevalia
You don't want to use a French press? They're really great and you don't need electricity to use them (says this post-Sandy traumatized citizen).
Funny you mention that...I just took mine out of mothballs when I lost power during the hurricane, and it was amazing!!
well, for the next few months, kinda. Since FEMA thinks the solution to my problem is a trip to a shelter, and not $$$$, i'm only replacing necessities. but Monk has been wanting a new coffee maker. I love mine, but it cost a fortune and was on backorder for 8 months. Plus it's inaccessible. so I would like an acceptable one in the meantime. and i LOVE a thermal pot.
Yep! Since my electric coffee grinder was out of commission, I ground the beans myself using a mortar and pestle. It was fun and made for great, fresh coffee!
doesn't stay warm all day. and yes, i wished Monk had one when the power went out. He's not into coffee like I am.
