BEDFORD – An Everett man pleaded guilty Wednesday to sexual assaults involving a child and an animal, authorities said. Jury selection was about to begin for 44-year-old Gordon Kinzey Jr. when the man decided to plead guilty to five counts of indecent assault of a person less than 13 years of age and one count of sexual intercourse with an animal, Bedford County District Attorney Bill Higgins said. Higgins said the investigation began when a 17-year-old girl reported that Kinzey – who had been her aunt’s boyfriend – had molested her for several years beginning when she was 8. Police said they confirmed the allegations when they obtained Facebook communication between Kinzey and the girl and a recorded phone call between the two. While reviewing Facebook, a state trooper discovered Kinzey had an apparent horse fetish and “was bragging about performing sexual intercourse on a black stallion.” Higgins said two farmhands witnessed Kinzey performing oral sex on a horse. “Without question, Gordon Kinzey is a disgusting sexual deviant,” Higgins said in a statement. “Fortunately, as a result of these convictions, he will be required to register as a sexual offender for the rest of his life, so the parents can take precautionary measures to keep their children away from him,” Higgins said. Kinzey could face three to six years in state prison followed by five years probation when he is sentenced June 17. He was returned to Bedford County Jail, where he is being held on $95,000 bond.
