NEW YORK— If you pay $7.99 a month for Netflix, get ready to see a larger bill next month.

Netflix raised their prices for new subscribers in May 2014 from $8.99 to $9.99 a month. Existing subscribers who were paying $7.99 a month were grandfathered in for two years.

Starting in May, subscribers locked into the $7.99 plan will now be charged $9.99 a month for the standard plan.

According to Business Insider, the change will effect about 17 million customers— and most of them have no idea.

Netflix’s new monthly rate is still cheaper than its competitors like Hulu and Amazon Prime— but UBS estimates 3 to 4 percent of subscribers will cancel their membership.

The gravy on top of that chicken fried steak looks like cum from an aids patient.

cord cutter here , it's a keeper. That's all my kids know. The fact they don't see commercials is worth it alone....those things infect those kids to want want want.

$9.99 is still a pretty fucking good deal for unlimited streaming of 1000s of movies and TV shows.

If $2 every month breaks the bank, you are in trouble.

Netflix surpasses the polio vaccine as the single greatest purchase ever made available to parents.

Netflix is upping it's game with original programming. Streaming services are the future.

For the extra $2/month Netflix should get some decent newer movies.

Keep it. I'm watching a bunch of stuff on there now. There's one called Documentary Now! with fake documentaries and Trailer Park Boys, plus Kolchak and Star Trek. I love Netflix and owe my life to it.
