Some Version are already getting fucked with slower speeds on bandwidth they already paid for.

I am with Cox and so far so good...

Also anyone here lucky enough to be in a Google Fiber city?

I'm just waiting for the day that Comcast starts imposing a surcharge on streaming media content.

Having trouble streaming "House of Cards?" A stand-off involving Verizon and Netflix may be to blame.

Streaming speeds for Verizon FiOS customers dropped by 14% between December and January, according to Netflix. Meanwhile, Netflix speeds on most other Internet service providers held steady during that time period.

The slowdown comes amid a stand-off reported this week by The Wall Street Journal over whether broadband providers like Verizon (VZ, Fortune 500)and AT&T (T, Fortune 500) will charge Netflix to carry its videos.
Netflix (NFLX) relies heavily on third parties -- primarily Cogent Communications (CCOI) -- to deliver content from its servers to Internet service providers. Traditionally, broadband companies and bandwidth providers like Cogent haven't charged one another, on the assumption that traffic that flows back and forth over their networks will even out over time.

Who streams more content to Internet users: Netflix or Youtube.

    End of discussion.

Verizon and Red Box, which competes with Netflix, just started a movie streaming service together. Coincidence?

And Verizon and Comcast (of all companies) have some type of xfinity deal between them as well. All of these greedy, unscrupulous ISPs are going to have their day of reckoning. And I, for one, cannot wait for that day.

Don't worry. Google announced after this whole Netflix streaming controversy that they plan to massively expanding their ISP services in the U.S. in the near future & it is a top priority of the company.

I pay for an unlimited plan for both my mobile and home ISP..

They are not losing money on me

The cable companies hate Netflix because it is a cheap alternative to the over price garbage they package and sell ...that is what this is all about not data

I shoot RAW images with my Canon 5D that use up a shit load of data on par with streaming movies... I even once got a letter from the cable company telling me I was going "over" my cap even tho I don't have one

Notice that the ISPs are not bitching about people like myself who shoot and upload large RAW files ... now I know that Netflix takes up a shit load of the internet's traffic but last time I checked people who access Netflix pay for

    that right

It's not like the ISPs are giving the shit away

I have Time Warner and have internet only. Netflix works just fine on multiple devices throughout the house. For now.
